Clark Magnet offers a three-course sequence of engineering electives:

  • Intro to Engineering – Learn the basics of engineering using the VEX Robotics Design System. Topics include mechanical design and assembly, engineering calculations, robot programming and navigation, and computer-aided design.
  • Principles of Engineering – This application-based class allows students to explore the various manufacturing processes as they relate to product development. In the advanced engineering classroom, students will develop skills in 3D printing, machining, welding, and electronics while creating and managing projects of their own design.
  • Computer-aided Manufacturing – This course offers training and certification on advanced manufacturing software and equipment including CNC milling machines, lathes, and router. Learn how to program machine-cutting strategies, run simulations, and manufacture components to precise specifications from raw materials.
